Lightweight, self-contained, hand-held plastic extruder which features integral electronic temp control.

December 17, 2004 -- A new lightweight, self-contained, hand-held plastic extruder that features an integral electronic temperature control system for both preheat and plasticizing by Malcom Company in Portsmouth, Rhode Island.

Malcom's Leister Weldmax Mini Hand Extruder is a hand-held tool that features an integral microprocessor controlled heater and blower with a sensor for assuring the proper plasticized rod temperature. Providing an infinitely adjustable continuous rod feed, this compact tool produces a finished weld in one pass and up to 2lbs. per hour total welding output.

Designed for welding HDPE, LDPE, PP, PPS, PVC-U and PVDF. Malcom's Leister Weldmax Mini Hand Extruder can be supplied with a variety of PTFE welding shoes for performing lap-, V-welds and others. Measuring 15" long x 4" in diameter with a 6" long x 2 1/4" in diameter handle, this self-contained extruder has a rugged ABS housing, weighs just 6lbs. and is well balanced for ease of use.
